How To Edit Pages - Quickstart

To edit a page

To edit a page YOU have created (unless you have adminstrator/moderator rights), you must click the button EDIT at the bottom right of the page. Once you have edited your page, you must either SAVE or CANCEL the page before you can move on to another page. THIS IS IMPORTANT! Be sure to remember to do this, or all your work will be deleted as it was not saved to begin with and Wiki will not let you go on without choosing one of those options.

To create a link to a new page

To create a link to a new page, use syntax: [new page name] or [ text to display]. Follow the link (which should have a different color if page does not exist) and create a new page and edit it! In other words, to link to a page within your wiki, do this. Put 3 [s around the name you want to link. For instance, if I am talking about Vuryal within the page, and you would like to link the page discussing Vuryal, simply do this: [Vuryal] and then anyone who visits your page will also be able to get to the page about Vuryal. If you have a multi-word page, like The World Called Hollow, use a - where the spaces would be. So, in this instance, it would be [The-World-Called-Hollow].

To name a link something else than a LONG name

You can link to a page but name it something else in the actual link itself within any wiki page. Confused yet? Here's an example: I am creating a page called NPC (or non-playable character). Now, to title the page Non-Playable Character would be EXTREMELY long, and NPC would be better. So, you can do this: [ Non-Playable Character] and it would show in the title as Non-Playable Character, but the page would be named NPC.

Although creating and editing pages is easy, there are a lot more options that allows creating powerful sites. Please visit Documentation pages to learn more.
